Lorena Montes de Oca is a policy advisor in Covington’s Public Policy Practice-Latin America, where she provides strategic and regulatory advice to clients doing business across Latin America. Lorena has over a decade of experience in public policy and international trade, supporting private sector companies and policymakers in areas such as energy, trade and investment, technology, policymaking, and economic development.

She has experience supporting companies with complex cross-border projects between the U.S. and Mexico. Additionally, Lorena has worked with nonprofits to connect different sectors of U.S. and Mexican communities, from students in the U.S. and Latin America to Latino professionals conducting business in the U.S.

Leonardo Gutierrez Camargo nació y creció en Azcapotzalco, Ciudad de México y de origen Otomí, es un Ingeniero Mecánico Electricista con especialidad Industrial egresado de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, que cuenta además con un Magister en Tecnologías de Información y Gestión realizado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y asimismo, tiene estudios en Ciberseguridad realizados en La Universidad de Georgetown.

Entre sus trabajos más destacados, ha colaborado para la Unidad de Modernización y Gobierno Digital del Ministerio Secretaría General de la Presidencia de Chile, también, para la Organización de las Naciones Unidas en la Comisión Económica para America Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), primero, en las  oficinas de la sede Subregional en la Ciudad  Mexico y posteriormente en la Sede en Santiago, Chile.  También ahí, trabajo para la cementera más grande en Chile, Cementos Bio Bio y ha sido CIO para Grupo ILC y como consultor informático para múltiples empresas en México. Además es Presidente de la Red UNAM DC.

Gabriela Romo is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland dedicated to serve individuals and families who are adjusting their immigration status. With more than a decade of mental health experience, Gabriela has become a distinguished professional for raising awareness of mental health issues and helping Latino communities in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. From 2018 to 2023, she hosted a weekly radio show on mental health and immigration for the Hispanic community in Radio America. Currently, she continues on weekly appearances at La Mera Mera discussing emotional and relationship issues to the Latino audience. Gabriela is esteemed for her philanthropic actions to raise and mobilize funds for people in critical circumstances, becoming a first responder for the Mexican Consulate and an ally to the Consulates of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.

Gabriela’s expertise has been called upon by several leading news organizations.

She often appears on Latino TV channels to bring the psychological perspective on issues that affect the community.

In addition, she is the President of the Alumni Association from her alma mater,

Universidad Iberoamericana, chapter  Washington, DC in which she strengthens the network of professionals to build tighter connections and engagement.
